The 2023 Fools Classic Randonnée on Saturday May 27 from Bucks County Brewery in Pipersville, PA (near Doylestown).

The Fools Classic is Kermesse Sport’s (& Bucks County’s) original Mixed Surface Ride, and is one of the oldest spring classic themed/gravel rides in the US.  We haven’t had the ride scheduled since 2020 due to COVID and loss of our venues, so we’re bringing it back in a simple manner, offering only 1 distance, and organizing it as a self-supported ride, much like the first edition in 2007.

The course is 81 miles long with >6500′ of climbing (according to Ride with GPS) and features 23 miles (28% of the course) of unpaved roads and trails.

Randonnées are long-distance unsupported cycling events, and are part of a long tradition that goes back to the earliest days of the sport.  For more information, please see our article, “What is a Randonnée?”, which we published in 2020 during the dark days of the pandemic.

Following the ride, please join us for post ride beverages sponsored by Bucks County Brewery.

Register on BikeReg.

Registration is enabled just to provide a heads-up on riding with other WJW members.

The registration fee is a reasonable $30.
