This is a reschedule of the ride that was originally planned for New Years Day. Weather and temps look promising for this Saturday. Only caveat is that the paths are probably going to be pretty muddy, so wider tires are advisable. After the ride we'll meet up at the Lumberville General Store and hang out with a warm drink by their firepits.
Ride description:
Come out and ride and clear the cobwebs from your late-night partying on New Years Eve for the Annual WJW New Years Day ride.
This will be a low-pace, off-road ride on the D & R Canal on the Jersey and PA sides. We'll start at Bulls Island State Park on the Jersey side, ride down to Lambertville, cross over to PA and ride up to Lumberville and stop at the Lumberville General Store for coffee or hot chocolate and warm up by their firepits. We'll then walk our bikes across the bridge to Bulls Island to return to the start.
Off-road bikes only. The path on the PA side is a little rough and can be wet. Knobby or wide tires are preferred. No narrow tires. There's no chance of getting lost, so cyclists can ride at their own pace, but since this is a social ride, the plan will be to stay together as much as possible.
This ride is 'weather permitting', so be sure to check for a late cancellation.
