C34 T3 Fall Foliage and the Lake

  • 10/18/2020
  • 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Haycock Boat Launch

Registration is closed

We will retrace the State Game Lands #157 ride of September 6th in order to take in the foliage peaking in the dense forests bordering the route and the shoreline of Lake Nockamixon.  Highlights will include a cruise along Haycock Creek, creative lawn art, scenic transitions through Pullen and Gruversville, the route highlight of Rocky Valley Road, a brief visit to California, the history of Stover Mill, and the now colorful coastline of Nockamixon State Park.

We will assemble at the Haycock Boat Launch on the northeast end of Lake Nockamixon State Park, Bucks County, PA (see directions below).

Riders can expect quiet, paved, and low traffic country roads most of the day over rolling terrain.  One commercial water stop is planned which will require a mask to enter.  Bring your helmet (required), filled water bottles, accessories needed to change a flat, and a sense of adventure.

Directions to the Haycock Boat Launch:

Take whatever route you wish to Milford, NJ.  Head west across the bridge over the Delaware River.  Upon reaching the PA side of the bridge, reset your trip odometer to mile zero

Turn Right (north) on to SR 32 (River Road).

At the stop sign at trip mile 4.5, turn Left (south) on to SR 611, Easton Road.

At the stop light at trip mile 6.4, turn Right (west) on to Church Hill Road.  (Watch for blinking warning light on right before reaching this intersection.  The stop light will appear suddenly on the far side of a short hill).

At the stop sign at trip mile 7.9, turn Left (south) on to SR 412/Durham Road.

At the stop light at trip mile 9.5, turn Right (west) on to SR 563/Mountainview Drive.

At trip mile 10.3 you will cross a light colored concrete bridge over a narrow section of Lake Nockamixon.  Just as you reach the far side of the bridge, look for a brown road sign with white letters indicating Haycock Boat Launch, left turn ahead.

At trip mile 10.4, turn Left across SR 563 into the paved entrance of Haycock Boat Launch (there is no street sign identifying this road at the entrance).  Bear right at the fork and follow the one-way road signs into the parking area of the boat launch.
