Ride description:This is a pretty challenging route with several climbs and 5000 feet of elevation. It is intended for more experienced riders.
This scenic route starts at on the Plateau, winds its way around Round Valley Reservoir, through Whitehouse Station, then goes over to the Sourlands (up Zion Rd and down Lindbergh), through Ringoes, and ends up back on the Plateau for the final 24 mile. Riders may opt to bail out at mile 76 and continue on Old Croton Rd to return to the restaurant.
The target average pace for the ride is 15 mph. If you can't maintain this pace you may be dropped. Riders should print a cue sheet and/or have the ride on a device with GPS.
This ride is UNSUPPORTED so be sure to bring plenty of drink and snacks for the ride. There are some stores on the route to allow you to resupply: Wawa at mile 34, Carousel in Ringoes at mile 58 and the Corner Store at mile 88. Also be certain to BRING TOOLS AND AT LEAST 1 SPARE TUBE in case they are needed.
There is another event at the restaurant that day so please be sure to park in the grassy area behind the paved parking lot.
