Friday to Frenchtown

Ringoes to Frenchtown & return via Ridge Road 45.9 miles (elev. gain 41’/mi.)

The second half of this route is different from last week's route.

Ride Starts at 8:40, from 5 Hart Ln. Ringoes.

Arrive early enough so that you are ready to go at 8:40. We are coordinating our start time to meet the other WJW group in Prallsville when they leave at 9:30 for Frenchtown. After a rest stop in Frenchtown we will ride up onto the Plateau via Ridge Rd. (a challenging climb but we will regroup at the top), cross the Plateau, have a nice downhill into Flemington on Harmony School Rd., and then back to Ringoes. This is OPTION 1.

OPTION 2 is a little flatter and shorter than option 1. Both options follow the same route to Frenchtown but this route returns to Prallsville on route 29, takes Lower Creek Rd. to the covered bridge and then back to Ringoes.

NOTE: This ride is listed as a C Ride, but riders can ride at their own pace to Frenchtown.

0930 at Prallsville Mill in Stockton (24 miles). We'll ride along Route 29 to Frenchtown for our rest stop, and then return via Route 29. If you wish, you can extend your ride by adding extra miles after the rest stop (just let me know that you'll be on your own). For Frenchtown rest stops...Coffee Shop

Helmets and red rear light and front light required. Mirror are strongly required. Rain cancels (decision made and posted by 8:30). Please RSVP

Join the Wild-West Jersey Wheelmen round trip Easton -Quaketown- Bethlehem bike ride. This ride offers up some scenic rolling hills for the first half (30 ) miles and flat ,or gentle descent, on rail and bike trails to the finish. Ample scenic vistas ,historic sights ,and curiousities. Urban to fields and forests. Many opportunities for refreshments and comfort breaks.

Moderate pace and average conditioning should be enough to enjoy this 60 mile ramble. Its possible to by pass some difficult sections. the trails and paths are in good shape though dirt they are . Not Difficult .
